The City and Guilds Functional Skills exams are available to all of those looking to purchase a Functional Skills exam from our partners at MME. This is offered as an alternative option to other Functional Skills exams that MME provide. The main difference with the City and Guilds Functional Skills exam is that it is monitored and marked by the City and Guilds exam board. If you are applying to a University or College you may specifically need a City and Guilds qualification, so you may be more inclined to select the City and Guilds option. However, everything else about the exam is fairly similar to other Functional Skills exams, as they follow the same curriculum and will ask similar types of questions. The exams are also offered in both Maths and English and at Levels 1 and 2.

The City and Guilds Functional Skills exam is also an online exam. This means that on the day of the exam, you will be emailed by a City and Guilds invigilator who will help you in setting up your exam. To sit the exam, you will require a computer with a working webcam and microphone in order to communicate with the invigilator.
